On February 2, 1988, the Twin Rivers (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered by 24 pillars of the Columbus, Ohio community; with members Jeanne L. Bowen and Eleanor DeLoache Brown serving as co-organizers.
The members of the Twin Rivers (OH) Chapter are dedicated, talented, and compassionate women who are focused on providing exemplary service to the Central Ohio community with results such as:
Over 3,000 teen girls educated on human trafficking prevention through My Sister’s Keeper program
Our Childhood Obesity Prevention program, Kids Outside the Box, has been delivered to over 1,320 children
Over $19,000 in classical music arts support provided to the Twin Rivers Arts Scholars at Urban Strings
Prepared over 200 teens for global leadership with STEM-focused ACT preparation and college readiness lectures
Our Feed a Mind Help a Nation International Program has ssupported the construction of seven homes, provided over 5,000 meals, educational supplies, books, shoes and personal supplies to needy families in Haiti
At the heart of our service, are international, national, and local programs created to enhance and enrich the lives of youth and their families, promoting an appreciation of the arts, providing educational opportunities, and addressing issues of health disparities within our community. After 35 years of supportive sisterhood and friendship, the Twin Rivers (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated continues to embody the vision of our charter members by cheerfully serving the Central Ohio community.
